According to the official UAE Cabinet calendar, Eid Al Etihad falls on Tuesday, December 2, and Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The Cabinet may adjust public holidays to extend weekends, potentially creating a four- or five-day break for residents. Last year, UAE residents enjoyed a four-day holiday, combining the weekend with National Day celebrations.
Eid Al Etihad marks the UAE’s founding on December 2, 1971, and celebrates the unity of the seven emirates. This year, the official theme is “United”, reflecting shared cultural and social bonds. The visual identity includes symbols representing each emirate, such as the palm tree, dhow, rising sun, forts, traditional dances, and pearl oysters, alongside the number 54 to commemorate the anniversary.
Residents and visitors can expect fireworks, concerts, parades, and cultural shows across all seven emirates. Popular destinations such as Global Village, Hatta, and Festival Promenade will host family-friendly experiences, ensuring the holiday is a memorable one for everyone.
